New Artists

Right now Intersketion Studios are producing new music in Sydney and Tokyo. More news will be published here soon.

Become an Intersektion Artist

Intersektion is made with musicians and artists in mind. The simple mission is to put the creators of music first. The contracts available for download are simple and far more generous than the conventional deals offered by old-fashioned record companies, who traditionally absorbed most of the income in production, manufacturing and advertising costs while taking complete control and ownership of the music (scary!). We also offer the freedom to continue working meanwhile with current projects at the same time through non-exclusive contracts, we know how much this freedom gives back to your creativity and energy in the studio.

Distribution only - Artist/Producer gets 90% of the net income.

Production and Distribution deal - Artists collectively get 50% of the net income, Intersektion Studios take 40% and 10% goes to distribution.

Regular record deals with dinosaur labels give eight to ten percent of the net sales income, are usually exclusive, and result in artists retaining zero percent of ownership. No wonder there's only eight major labels. Intersektion are, on the other hand, are flexible on terms.

We are always searching for more talented artists to work with. We love making music, and getting it out there. So send your demo! Email it as an MP3 to stewart@intersektionrecords.com, or if its a big audio file we usually use Yousendit.com. If our producers think you have the song and the talent to please our listeners, we'll be after you pretty quickly!

Studio Track Demos

Our musicians are constantly making new tracks, both originals and covers, that might become Intersektion tracks if the right talent can be matched to it. Here are some free listens to current demos, listed by working name, and searching for singers ( Contact us if you'd like to sing one):

* Latte atc

* Rhythm Of The Night (After Midnight Remix)

* House of Flamenco

* Take on Me (DrumnBass Cover)

* Lawrence

* Fadin Away (Breaks Re-version)

* Blue Monday Breaks

*As these are unmastered demos, listening should be through the highest possible quality headphones or speakers. Laptop speakers or in-ear walkman style phones will reveal unsatisfactory detail in the recording, making it sound 'screechy' or 'bassed out'.
